That recipe mrsjones5 posted sounds really good and close to how I make pulled beef burros the only difference is I combine all the ingredients with the beef into a crock-pot and cook it for hours until it's so tender it shreds just lifting it out of the pot. Yummy!

I put boneless chuck roast in the crock pot with (sorry folks but it's really good) Lawry's au jus mix - usually half a package. Some sliced onions are good as a bed for the chuck roast, otherwise same seasonings as above. I add a little water, cook until the beef is really tender. Allow to cool, shred, wrap tightly and refrigerate. When ready to use, reheat the shredded beef with some of the broth and onions, some canned green chiles, some jalapeno if you like it a little hotter. It's really good in burritos or shredded beef tacos. Make scrambled eggs with some cheese and chiles and add some hot shredded beef for a machaca burrito. By the way, it works just as well with pork shoulder.
