cops just came to my house,,,my two big windows at my shop were smashed,,sheesh,,i dont have insurance,,going to cost me 1500$

That sucks, sometimes more so if they did it just for the sheer 'fun' of it.
I find its not so much the windows being smashed that's upsetting, but the clearing up afterwards - it can take weeks especially if the glass has splintered in places.
Don't know if this info is any use, but besides having toughened glass (a legal requirement here) which won't shatter everywhere, we also have our windows coated with transparent film - its really to filter out UV so that everything doesn't fade, but an added bonus is that it holds the pane together if the window gets smashed - your shop is still relatively secure from theft/looting until you can get the glass replaced too.

Morons with nothing better to do. I thought it was just an English disease! Sorry you've had to experience it.
Around here bush shelters are a great favourite to be smashed!
