Ok so I just found out that the JWs believe that Satan wasn't thrown out of heaven until 1914 (During World War I). Where was that conclusion drawn from?
I've heard it all.....1914?

Where was that conclusion drawn from?
Jehovah revealed it.
Duh!
LOL!
But for the longest time, Jehovah thought the world was gonna end in 1914.
Later He realized that He was wrong, and revealed that Satan and his minions were thrown out of Heaven that year.

nvrgnk, I am confused. When you say Jehovah are you talking about God or the JW's. It sounds pretty weird that God is trying to predict when the world is going to end?

In 1925, the president of the Society, JF Rutherford, published an article called "Birth of a Nation" in the Watchtower, over the objection of the editorial committee, effectively abolishing the committee in one fell swoop (thereafter, Rutherford generally wrote the articles in the magazine). It was this article that reinterpreted the 12th chapter of Revelation as prophesying the birth of God's Kingdom in 1914 and the fall of Satan from heaven that year. That controversial article probably explains better than anything written since WHY the JWs adopted the belief that Satan was expelled from heaven in 1914 (when I say "better", I mean in fullest detail.... the idea itself is silly and eisegetical).

Leolaia, Thanks for your response! I tried to get a JW to explain it too me and they couldn't or wouldn't. I guess its hard for JW's to explain this theory when they don't have their watch tower publications handy.
