Do you feel one of the the Primary concerns for most witnesses still in who are faced with the 'concept' of leaving is where else do we go? Afterall just about everything is tarnished by the Watchtower Society in the mind of every dub.

definately. that's the first question you get. in a kind of rethorical way - and changing the actual words taken from the gospels: "where else could we go to?" (instead of "who else").

after years of JW indoctrination you NEED some hierarchy to follow. because you are simply not used to think for yourself. and thinking aint that easy.

This is the case for my wife. She feels that there must be "something better" for me to leave the WTS.
She wants to know what that something better is that I have found.

Since I offer her my thought that I don't have the answer, I have not found the "something better" she
doesn't listen to the rest of the argument. She doesn't care that a fake eutopia is not a reality that is
better than reality. She just insists that "something better" must come along before she leaves her
    fake eutopia.

    So, YES.

Also, my mother is facing her own mortality and I don't think she wants to consider that she has wasted
more than 30 years on this crap. I don't even think "Something better" would work for her.

That is one good thing about the Internet. Before it came widespread, people would not have a clue as to where to turn next. They would be left out in the cold, and usually what happened was that they went back for lack of anywhere else to turn. They would have to suck up and obey the stupid rules. And, many that wanted out because they did not like the way the Tower treated them would feel trapped. This was worse in the case of those born in it with extensive family still in.

Now, the Internet came along. Somewhere around 1997 it became widespread enough for people to find answers as to where else to turn. That is about when apostate Web sites became common enough so anyone with a computer could easily look up answers for where else to turn, and forums began popping up enough so they would provide a substitute congregation. Now, there are hundreds of apostate sites (a dozen of them major). The major ones often have connections to a religious club or to other forums. And then this forum came up (along with a few hundred others in various states of health). Here, people can post a problem and get a few dozen different answers within a few hours.

And, with computers, it is possible for people to find out that it is OK to be atheist after all. One can find fellowship between different Christian denominations, other major religious paradigms, agnostics, atheists and antitheists, and even Devil worshipers. Anyone open to the idea of atheism or antitheism can find a world of places to turn to, apart from the Watchtower Society. And so can anyone that wishes to remain a Christian and wants to find a denomination or start an independent Bible study group.

As far as I can tell. There is no where to go. And that was true before anyone became a witness. You just live your life and then you die. You go to work, you go to dinner, you go to bed, you go on vacation over and over then you die. In between you surf the net and take in a few movies, have some sex, read some books.
