There was a CIA agent that was just caught for stealing secrets.
I took the opportunity to say to my sister: "Well, I remember stories that the KGB infiltrated the Society and got as high as District Overseers!" (Thinking of course that she may question the "Spirit appointed" part).
Instead she replied: "I heard the same thing and that once they got there they realized it was indeed the Truth and became Brothers."

The WT have become the ABSOLUTE MASTERS of spinning the most ridiculouos baffoonery in the history of our modern era. Just look at all the failed predictions and ridiculous policies on medical matters and scientific understandings over the last 60 years. They have turned a comedy of errors in to evidence that Jehovah is blessing them with flashes of light, and with a "refining" process.

JWs are so smug and self-centered - the way they tell it anyone who comes near them is magically converted. Also they have no sense of humor. The idea of the CIA even caring enough to infiltrate the WTBTS is funny - I'd have laughed my ass off if you said that to me.
If this was even remotely close to the truth, then why do so many apostates infiltrate the system? Remember, each apostate was once in it, and decided not to stay in for whatever reason. If these agencies were to magically go in, then how is it so easy for so many to turn apostate?

There was something about this in the Daniel book. I can't remember if it was the CIA or the KGB or whoever but it sounded believable to me. The reason for the infiltration is because the WTS was suspected of treason or conspiring against the government. The CIA wanted see if there was substance to the suspicions. As for them becoming "real brothers", uh...yeah...sure they did.
