Have you tried something like LiveOps? It's basically a call center job, but they send calls to your home. You can work whenever you want.
It's not ideal, but it can make for a fair part time job, which is better than nothing. Might be worth a look.

This is tricky. Finding work at home is possible, as is starting one's own business. However, there are scams galore in that department, and you really have to watch out for them. Plus, there are programs that are difficult to fully integrate and most people will make little or nothing on them. Such as Herbalife and eBay make it look easy to get on and start making money right away, but in reality you will have to spend money and then spend a month just getting things together (and then there is a fair amount of work involved if you are to make a decent living).
Fair warning about MLM programs: Most are hyped up. You sell vitamins (nothing wrong there). But, most of your time is spent in signing others into the program (kinda sounds like the Watchtower Society, except you do get paid). Then there is the problem of getting credit for your volume. Most will not deliver the kind of results you are promised. You can make some money, but it is more likely to be on the order of $1000-1500 a month for a lot of work. Then you need to do your homework before diving in: I found one MLM that sold $1,500 CD courses and $7,500 seminars. You got half of the money as commission. But, the course was designed to teach others to sell the very same course! This was dumped immediately (before I put even a penny into it). Be careful!
