I'm working on a project to do a scan of the original Photo Drama of Creation book (1914) and realized I'm missing one page from the book I have. I've received a text scan of that page, but I'd prefer an original scan to match the PDF I'm working on. So, let me get this straight...... god created the heavens and the earth and it was dark. Which, by default means there is no sun and therefore nothing for the earth to orbit. Hmmmm. The problem with THAT scenario is that without a sun, the water would certainly NOT be fluid. Space without a sun is REALLY cold, I tell ya! AM I the only one having a problem with young-earth creationism?

Look at it the other way round...
...according to Genesis, 1:1, the Earth was created but it wasn't until Genesis 1:3 that he created light.

Ummm, I wasn't really aware that the center of the earth was made of ice, more like LAVA? JW teach likely the earth was hot and molten when it started and the massive water vapors above the liquid water was in the form of steam. Under those conditions the Earth could have been isolated and still not a planet of ice. As far as creating light for the earth, that could be interpreted as simply taking the earth which as not in any orbit and bringing it close to a star so that a bright light shone upon the earth and place the earth in orbit around that light source. Thus the Earth went from a distant place from any star to a closer place. Truly often some things that seem impossible really depend upon how much imagination one has. JCanaan

A miracle and the power of God can make nearly anything possible.
Some people don't believe in the global flood, but Genesis explains where the extra water came from to cover the entire earth with water up to the mountains. It also says "winds" were used to help dissipate those waters. Well, tornados are winds and they could have been used to funnel the excess water into outer space. Well guess what? Scientists confirm indeed there is water in outer space because it accumulates around comets that pass nearby the earth, like Haley's comet.
So while, yes, some people want to close their eyes or try to create their own "impossible" situation so they don't have to believe what they don't want to believe, others find some reasonable factual support for some of the difficult things to believe in Bible. EVEN THOUGH, anyone who looks up into the heavens or contemplates the harmony of just the solar system and doesn't understand it's INTELLIGENT DESIGN and thus the existence of a Creator might not believe anything past a personal apperance by an God or an angel before believing anything.
But also, some people don't bother looking at nature that closely. Per the Bible, the "lesser luminaries" are there for TIMEKEEPING purposes. When you consider the solar system and the revolution of the planets specifically, it does create a gigantic timepiece. The VAT4956 is a perfect example. The varying orbits of the planets form a unique signature for each year. Each year the different planets are in different places and so if an ancient observer reports those specific positions on a specific day of the month then you can identify what year that was, a specific signature that might not repeat itself in 10,000 years or even more. Such harmony and precision, plus all the planets orbiting in the same zodiacal belt is amazing. When you notice something like that, then specifically how God created "light" for the earth, especially since we know the light source is the sun so somewhere in the process the earth had to be brought to its current position in connection with the sun, whether the sun had been created already or not, seems logical enough. I believe the Scriptures are thus consistent with God "assemblying" the solar system from various planets that were scattered around the universe already, and placing those planets in their respective orbits for the purpose of timekeeping for the planet. But few people, particularly in modern times, really pay any attention to the planets.

Well, the mind can be very creative, as you've just demonstrated. But all you've said is pure speculation; that doesn't make it fact. You're trying to take a belief system and fit it to facts, which doesn't prove anything. Admit it, all you have is your speculation.
