film scanner anyone??

does anyone have a film scanner? or some suggestions on what to buy? not for pro use....just good enough quality for a hobbyist..thanks

I've got a scanner at work, HP scanjet 7400c. It comes with shields to scan negatives and transparancies. It works very well, but you need outside software for any manipulations you plan to do later. I doubt it was very expensive since work rarely spends excessive money on things. I would say under $200.
It can also be used as a copier/fax via software you can purchase through HP.
