I believe in these cases they admit to nothing the legal term is "without prejudice" and make the payment as such.
However in the Elders book at a J.C if the if they have proof the person has done something wrong and will not admit to it they are to be D.Fed
Of course they would not admit any fault.
WTBTS has extensive experience working the legal system. As you will find documented here and elsewhere, they have been able to get many cases dismissed on various technicalities. Although these are legal, they are not ethical IMHO. Obviously, there is still plenty of cash available to pay the extra to keep some of the worst out of court and say "We didn't do anything wrong." So why are they paying millions and silencing the victims?
I caughtm that too Billy, their exact words were that 7 of the cases against the WT were "dismissed by the courts" acting like they did nothing... what about the other 8? This group sucks, plain and simple...THye actually are contradicting themselves in some ways...we did nothing yet we paid? WHat the hell?
A thought....Could they have paid off these victims, because their list of pedophiles was being prohibited from being shredded? After they paid out a paltry amount of money, they were able to get rid of the damning evidence?

I wonder that, too. I am confident that the WTS admitted no wrong, admitted no wrong upon the
actions of it's elders in the congregations. Is it possible that they used the moment in time when
the already-filed lawsuits were settled and there were no new pending cases, to go ahead and
destroy the files that no judge was demanding at the moment?
What will happen to the next batch of lawsuits? If they removed their own records, they might
not be willing to settle. There are going to be more suits. People who thought they couldn't
go up against Goliath realize that it is possible.
