JW grandmother threating her ex daughter in law

Saturday while at the bar watching my App State boys beat up yet another team in the playoffs my good friends hands me her phone and says, "here talk to my sister she just got cussed out by a JW".

So I pick up and I ask what happened. Well it turns out my friends sister we will call her Sis used to be married to a man that was raised as a dub. They are now divorced (?) and he found out she is living with a man. So he tells his mother about it who calls Sis and explains she is living an immoral life. No big deal until Sis says, "Well I don't agree with that." well according to Sis ex Mom gets angry and starts yelling at her and says she will try to get the kids and if the grandkids come over she will explain to them why she will be destroyed at Armageddon. Sounds like a by the books dub to me.

So I told her to call her up and very calmly explain that if she does this she will have no choice but to call the P.O. of the hall and explain she is being harassed and wants it stop. I'm thinking this is probably the best ave. for parents to take. Lets face good dubs are more prone to listen to Authority then reason, and usually dubs will think your making a bad witness if someone takes the time to actually call and tell a stranger they are being harassed. Do you guys think this is good logic?

I would ignore it unless it continues. Then I would note the phone calls, time, what was said, etc. Then go to the police station and have a restraining order filed against the nosy b&$&*. I could see if they were druggies or abused the kids. Too many people live together for this to be a big deal legally. But she should cover her bases anyway.

I spent a couple of hours last night, looking for the Divorce and child custody/Theocratic Warfare info, for a new poster. What I read, about what this cult is capable of, and to the lengths to which they will go, is sickening. They will protect the JW party, come hell or high water. I wouldn't want to go up against them in court. I thought last night about fire ants. You mess with one of them, and WHAM!! they come from everywhere, attack, and are quite nasty.

I think your friend needs to read, and get to know, what the JW's are thinking, and to just be aware of what they are capable of. It is scary.

(Never did find the whole thing if anybody can help me. Free Minds has a scattered breakdown, with commentary, and Lady Lee, the best of, every link to a pdf file were down. So I PM'ed the new poster several links of scattered information.)

I seriously doubt the PO would do anything about it! When my ex, who is a JW, was calling and harrasing me over several things, I called the PO and asked him to talk to him and have him leave me alone. The PO told me that my ex was the one in good standing and I was not and he could not do anything about it and the bastard hung up on me!

I'm with momz, this would have to be handled from a legal standpoint. Which is what I did, and took out a warrant on his ass.

    (sidenote)...Go App State Mountaineers!!!

In most states, grandmother's have no legal say or rights.

Try pm'g 'alamb' and/or looking at her topic history & posts. It was her court case where the elder pretended to now know about the JW Custody Brochure. (The video of his testimony is somewhere on here, too)

Hey thanks for the replies everyone. I guess I should have clarified I am well aware that the grandmother could not take custody. I have seen the Youtube video of that case Aude. To answer you Carla I am fairly certain you could contact a Kingdom Hall and say you need to speak to a PO and they would leave a message for the PO to call you back especially if you made a vague threat about harassment and bringing the law in to it. Then again I could be wrong.
