I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you libs that I am not in perfect agreement, I actually enjoyed his books and watch his show.
It might surprise you, however that I partially agree, I stop short, of actually saying I like O' Reilly,
1. he is a self-described 'moderate' which I don't believe for a second.
2. He is nowhere NEAR conservative enough for me.
3. I've caught him in spin and called him on it in e-mail, and haven't been satisfied with the response.
3.1 The first time was about legalization of pot, and he said that if it were kids would be buying it at the seven eleven. Can you say 'straw man'? I mean, can you buy rum at a seven eleven? how about ammo? yet both are 'legalized.'
3.2 The second was about the sunset of the bogus, so-called 'assault weapons ban' where he came out in favor of making it permanent! "Nobody needs a machinegun to hunt deer!" he said. Um, bill? the assault weapon ban had NOTHING to do with fully automatic weapons, it banned semi-autos on purely cosmetic features; and the right to keep and bear arms has NOTHING to do with hunting either!
3.3? Next day 'can't you people take a joke?' So I guess that counts as a third episode of spin from ol' Bill.
So, you are a lefty, I am a righty, we come together in the middle in not being crazy about Bill.
A peace offering:
