Remember how the Bible Study was conducted at the hall? they had Bible Highlights then focused on a particular chapter. Was this done in such a way so as to take attention away from Scriptures that could bring up red-flags in the minds of JW's, letting the dodgy bits be skipped over?

In church, they comb though every verse and discuss every word. That was never done at the hall.

I totally agree with you Reneesorym. Bible study in church is so much more enlightening than at the Kingdom Hall.
Moreover, they could never have a verse by verse Bible study at the Kingdom Hall like they do in the churches because such a study would show that the Watchtower takes the Scriptures out of context. That is why during the KH meetings the JWs are always flipping through their Bibles rather than focusing on a Bible book and studying one chapter at a time until the book is completed. Something that would take months if done properly.
The priest who conducts the Bible study at my church is fluent in New Testament Greek, which is something you would never see at the Kingdom Hall.

It's interesting how the "Bible Highlights" is all about the WT spin on the Scriptures. The brothers giving the parts were often hounded to to make sure they handled them this way.
When I walked away fromt he org I listened to different commentaries online of the Bible and found they are far superior in comparison to the WTS method.
