Yes quite an obvious point of hypocrisy,
When a CO came for a visit , he would always stay at are PO house who just happened to be the richest person in the hall .
It was common knowledge with everyone that he was treated like royalty by him with expensive restaurants and entertainment.
One of my last memories at the hall was the CO sitting in back of the PO Mercedes Benz and driving out of the parking lot.
Power and corruption can be found in the most unlikely of places.
A good freind of mine that used to be a substitute CO tolm me that on every visit he would get at least $200 in donation
from publishers....TAX FREE.... even more if you were serving in well to do area.
Could easily be $1000 a month in their pocket and everything else is paid for by the society and congregation by submitting a bill at the end of the visit.
How many of us can put aside a $1000 a month in the bank. No wonder every CO along with their wife were able to fly all over the world on vacation.
Here is what they call "poor": They get their vehicles and health insurance paid for by the congregations. They have their meals provided for by the congregations. They have no real expenses like apartment or home bills, so they pay no utility bills. They use the Kingdumb Hell facilities, and they have people put them up for the week when they are in town. Many also get money gifts (I wonder if they would be getting so many of these gifts if people realized that the hounder-hounder is really usurping value and not creating any).
However, the regular publisher is supposed to cut way back on work to make room for field circus. They, unlike the hounder-hounder, have to pay for their own car, gas, and homes. They also have to provide their own health insurance since most window washers do not have it with the job. They are supposed to accept low paying jobs so they can pioneer, which eats up lots of money in gas, car maintenance bills, stamps, and phone bills. Plus, they are supposed to put their imaginary surplus (in real dollars) into the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund boxes in the Kingdumb Hells. Suit dry cleanings and buying things for the misery also add expense.
And yet, the hounder-hounders are always talking about how the flock needs to watch out for materialism. If you are having trouble making ends meet and work extra hours, and it cuts down your field circus, you are being materialistic. People that go to college are now marked as spiritually weak and bad associations. Do more. Waste more money on gas. Donate more to the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund. They expect people to go deep into debt to finance this circus. And, when the bills come due, their credit is ruined, and they get thrown out on the street like so much garbage.
Hopefully, with the expose of pedophiles, those donations are going to migrate south. And, with the oral sex issue being raised again, I hope people see the double standard (oral sex is bad, but pedophilia with coercion and silencing of the victims is OK) and simply walk out. If enough people vote with their feet and their wallets, they are going to be putting less into supporting the hounder-hounders and the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund and more into the Salvation Army and the Red Cross.
