I'm more than halfway though my first ever reading of Carl Sagan's skeptical classic:

"The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark"

I am deeply enjoying it, and I might post a review when I finish, but until then
    has anyone else read it?

No, but I'm reading Morrighan's Circle by Nora Roberts. It's about witches and sorcerers fighting vampires for control of the world. It's the first in a series of 3.

Carl Sagan is much too intellectual for me.

Yes I've read it, it's an excellent book. I also have "Pale Blue Dot" by Sagan, and "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" by Sagan, and Ann Druyan. I remember my parents letting me stay up to watch Cosmos when it aired on PBS, I think that helped to make me a bit too inquisitive. :)

Haven't read it, but it's on my ever-growing list of "must reads".

Here's a thread you might enjoy.

Excellent, excellent book. Pay particular attention to his chapters on "The Dragon in my Garage" and "The Baloney Detection Kit".

These two chapters alone make the book worthwhile.

Be very careful reading Sagan's work.

    You can never go back.

Hmmmm, sounds interesting. Any movies made based on any of his works?
