The WTS’s sole reason for using the Bible

To me, the key passages in the “Study Watchtower” for January 15 2008 are:

“The Christian Greek Scriptures were written primarily for ‘the Israel of God,’ those [144,000] anointed as brothers of Christ and spiritual sons of God. Of course, that in no way suggests that non-Israelites could not derive great benefit from studying the Hebrew Scriptures. Similarly, Christians who are not anointed with holy spirit derive immeasurable benefits from studying and living according to the counsel found in the Christian Greek Scriptures.” (page 22)

Anointed Christians are declared righteous because they exercise faith in Jesus’ ransom sacrifice. In Jehovah’s eyes they are acquitted of sin. … They come into the new covenant and form a new nation, ‘the Israel of God.’” (page 21)

    My Comments:

For the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses (GB), the sole purpose of Scripture is to endow it with divine authority. Hence the confined range of Scriptures it promotes. Since the GB lays claim to divine authority, its Jehovah’s Witness followers are disempowered, while the GB is able to exercise an unfettered reign.

The GB’s followers are told that they have to seek righteousness in God’s sight through strict adherence to the declarations made by the GB. For the GB’s followers, the promises of the Greek Scriptures come solely through aligning themselves with the instructions that come from those for whom the Greek Scriptures were written – the “new national Israel of God”, meaning the GB and its elite "class".

The only reason that they use the Bible, is that they sell them and make $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
