It cracks me up how we try to do some profound post for the big ones, 500, 1,000, 1,500, and now for me, 2,000.

For post 1998 I posted something that was somewhat contrary to what Angharad said, and will probably be the second time in a couple of weeks that she saw red because of me. There have been moments where I have disagreed with and maybe even annoyed the forum owner, Simon. Then we have the Mods, a few of which I totally respect and appreciate if only because I have had some personal interaction with them.

Then there are the people who were here when I got here. I've been chastised, berated, advised, enlightened, disappointed, and totally p*ssed the f*ck off at various times. But through all the altercations or disagreements, on the other side of them I have emerged as a better person, in my opinion, and cannot think of a single person I don't like because of anything said here.

So all the folks above are the ones that I may have been less than pleasant with in the past, or it could have appeared that way. I wanted to say that although we might not always agree with each other, I still hold each of you in the highest regard not only for what is being done here, helping people, but also for holding fast to YOUR opinions and beliefs and having enough respect for me to allow me to challenge them at times. That means a lot.

And then we have those of you who I know personally, or have spoken with more than some others on a more personal level. You know who you are. You are my friends and I am glad to have you in my life, even if it's virtually, the benefits are still there.

Simon, thank you for the site, it helped me get my mind out of the cult.

    First, congratulations Emperor Wanderlustguy!

    One per hundred posts, enjoy!

Second, "hear hear", we all have our differences at one time or another, but this is what helps us to grow. Everyone here plays a part.

I have seen that there are different experiences from each of us. And, I think being tolerant and even embracing that helps. After all, we are dealing with people that have been captive in an organization that has so many levels of disjointedness that almost anything goes. I have seen the standard disfellowship procedures followed. And, I have also seen just about everything from being recaptured by family and the hounders, being called on a decade or more after being left alone, having one's house egged by the Witlesses for putting up a snowman, the Witlesses calling on a known apostate and using elderly people as shields, children as young as 2 out in field circus and as young as 6 being baptized, pedophiles silencing their victims. people dragged out in field circus after the expose on pedophiles on NBC, and people walking out after puking because of bad Watchtower teachings.

I value each and every one of those different experiences. I look for newbies that have had experiences that are radically different from the standard ones. True, I like those posters that are edgy when it comes to the Watchtower Society like Minimus, Hamsterbait, and Nvrgnbk. But, each time I see a poster come with a totally new experience, it broadens my integrations of what that organization is willing to do to keep itself going and to control those that cannot be controlled.
