That when a witness tries to debate with you online, that very act can get them disfellowshipped. It's an incredible feeling that if someone were to just talk to me, they could be kicked out of the org. for it.
I always get a great measure of satisfaction...

NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT!

Yes, there is no way to lose an argument with a JW online. We might be critical of the governing body's authority, but they are actively rebelling against it, regardless of what they say. Their actions speak louder than our words.

I can't say I understand your feeling of satisfaction. I don't wish any JW the fate of going through being df'd and then shunned. Just the fact that JW's post on here probably means they are having doubts about the WT and want to find out more, so I wish them well. As for any spies that may lurk on JWD, they are a sorry lot!

That is what is so amusing about the debates I get involved with on MySpace with witlesses. I agree with some apostate post, or analyze a pro-JW post and bash it with facts, always using appropriate web sites and scriptures to back up my position (remembering that on MySpace people are not already questioning the Watchtower Society like they are here). The funny thing is, no matter which side the thread originally took, the witlesses always manage to start flame wars. Their answers are always stock answers provided by the Witchtower Society. They keep using the same stock answers to rebut the original writers' viewpoints, no matter how many times they get torn apart. When they ask for proof, I take them to a site or a book (and sometimes even a block of scriptures) and they will not accept it.
The hilarious thing is that they can get disfellowshipped just for answering back to apostates. And, especially if the opening thread was started by an apostate. Just recently there was a thread started by an apostate that Christmas was celebrated by the witlesses before 1927 (and that was the truth), backed by www.watchthetower.com . Immediately, a witless corrected that and said that the correct site was www.watchtower.org instead. They don't think, but they could get disfellowshipped for just that. The thread ended up with more than 100 answers--granted, some were other apostates, but at least 3 witlesses kept the debate going without realizing that doing so amounts to association with apostates.
It all goes to show that some witlesses claim to be serving Jehovah piously, even attempting to defend their hopeless faith. But, they are disobeying explicit instructions from the Sept 2007 Kingdumb Misery and from the early 1980s. Hopefully, when someone hounds them about it, they will realize that maybe disobeying the Faithless and Indiscreet Slavedriver is the thing to do, after all, and start disobeying them additionally by researching using independent sources.
