Apparently people from all over the US are coming and camping along highway I-35 (here), because of a scripture found in Isaiah Chapter 35, Verse 8 -- you will see a passage that in part says, "A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness."
I laughed when I saw the things people are praying for. They prayed that adult businesses along the corridor would "see the light" and perhaps close down. They prayed for safety and freedom from crime for people who lived along the interstate. They prayed that all Americans would accept Jesus into their lives.
Ok, so I can understand wanting everyone to accept Jesus coming from a Christian but only praying that people along the interstate are blessed seems a tad bit selfish doesn't it? Of course the Christian obsession with sex it going as strong as ever, the one thing that god seems to be most offended by is pornography.
The thing that worries me is what happens when 'faithful' Christians or Muslims find a scripture they feel if fulfilled will bring the end of the world?
