This beats me to death. Traffic, crowds, waiting to check out. Then on to another store to repeat the process. etc. Just got in and the first Scotch didn't even get all the way to my stomach before it was absobed into my body as if I had tossed it into sand dune.

Wooooooooohoooooooooo!!! I just got in, and had a grrrrrreat day of shopping! I had 2 people guide me to the parking places they were leaving, only to find they were right in front! I had the kid at the Bicycle shop give me 25.00 off my purchase, because "I was so friendly, not like those customers that make my work life hellish". I am pretty much done, except for a pile of books I will get tomorrow when I leave work which is right next to the book store. The tree is lit, and smells of pine. All the lights in my little village are on, and I am drinking Chardonnay. Sigh............. I love this time of year.

As I have no gift shopping list, I have primarily concentrated on getting decorations. This year, I made it my goal to be long in tinsel garland (as it was impossible to get any in summer). That way, if Jehovah pulls the same sxxx of quarantining me from the opposite sex and thus preserving the value I could have been in the Ministerial Training "School(??)", I can put them right back up, even if it is still February.

I went into Target at about 8:00 AM to get more garland (I only got 6 bundles of it, as the standard grade was almost gone and they had plenty of the heavy grade and of red standard grade). I was amazed at how slow the place was. More interesting, most of the outdoor decorations were sitting there. Many indoor decorations were also sitting there, marked down 30% and still not moving. (The bulbs and other ornaments I can order from Bronners or Christmas Mouse all year long, so I am not worried about that). No wonder there are hardly any decorations and lights outside this year!
