if you were born in 1914 that makes you 86 years old. So your pretty close to keeling over already. But that only makes you 14 around time of annointment so that seems a little ridiculous. Most of the people back then involved with the watchtower society we're probably a little older so lets see, i'm guessing the average age of an annointed individual is probably pushing...oh...maybe a 100?...That's old. Anyway, i used to use the memorial count in the yearbook as my "armageddon clock" to see how much time i had left to be worldly by checking the bodycount of dead annointed. What's the official position on this? Is Armageddon right around the corner or not?

And what the hell is all this "new light" mumbo jumbo?

I think 3 of the GB are under 60, one only 54.

The WTS says the annointing stopped in 1935. So the youngest annointed is 66(if you were annointed as a baby). Im 28 so I figure I should be around when they are all dead. But I think they already have a plan ready to buy more time.

The funny part is that if you take 144,000 and divide it by the last 1900 years, you only have an average of 75 persons a year that get to go to heaven! So much for the power of the good news!

Erasmus (1520 AD): "If we want truth, every person ought to be free to speak what they think without fear."

Oh jesus so if one is 54 then they could stretch it out another 50 freaking years...

but still, there can't be more than a few thousand left. Maybe only a couple of hundred. Y

This was one of the biggest things i can remember growing up hearing. If there is only a thousand or so than don't they think the end is near? After sept 11 they gotta be freaking.

I was talking to my husband about the 144,000 thing a couple of months ago and he brought up a point I had never heard of before. He said the scriptures say 12,000 out of the 12 tribes of Judah (? hehe, long time away. LOL) Anyway, according to him, the 12 tribes are no longer the 12 tribes. With time and inter-marrying, they are no longer a "pure" tribe. If that is the case.....my question to the Witlesses would be......of what tribe did THEY come from? I don't remember ever hearing of which tribe they were from. And if they feel they are all 12 together......how can they prove that?

Regarding the new light. New light only happens when they change their thoughts. Saying it is new light makes the masses feel secure that it is still from Jehovah despite total turnarounds on the matter. I tried to explain this to my parents (he is a MS) that when the light gets brighter and brighter, it makes things clearer. It does not change things. I do graphics with PSP. I used that as an example. I told them....if I have a fuzzy picture and I see something red sitting on.....something (not clear yet) but I KNOW it is red. I keep making the picture clearer and clearer until I can see what the red thing is. I see that it is a bunch of bananas(? How can this be? It was red). I see a bunch of yellow bananas on a table instead of maybe an apple (?). That cannot happen. Same thing happens when you have your lights dimmed in your home. As the light gets brighter an object only reveals what it is but does not change shape or color or....................sheesh!
