The Watchtower Teaches Evolution

I bet you never knew that the Watchtower teaches the ideas and concepts behind Evolution... only they don't use the word "evolution". They just say that the world started out with just a few hundred "kinds" of animals which all "sprung" out into the millions of different species we see today.

It is estimated that there are about 30 - 100 million species on earth and according to the bible Noah set loose all of the worlds species about 4000 years ago. For the sake of keeping things conservative I will use the value of 30 million species.

This means that every year the earth produces 7,500 new species... or 20.5 new species every single day... or almost one new species every hour of the day.

And people thought Darwin's slow evolution was absurd! He's got nothing on the Watchtower's turbo-charged evolution!

Nor would his [Adam's] naming the animals take an unduly long time. The basic animal kinds could have been relatively quickly named, for when such basic kinds were taken into the ark in Noah’s day, it did not involve millions of beasts, but perhaps only a few hundred basic kinds. Thus, Adam’s naming of the animals and his realizing that he needed a counterpart would have occupied only a brief time after his creation.

The ark was from 450 to 547 feet long (depending upon which cubit was used in measuring), 75 to 91 feet wide, and 45 to 54 feet high—a sizable structure that allowed abundant room for the various animal "kinds" described in Genesis, and from which all the varieties we now know have sprung.

I was told that witnesses believe that God placed them here instantly, and then decided to remove them at will. No evolution, just boom- now you see them, now you don't. The problemItold him is that if the AID's virus was created, for what prupose would it serve? To randomly kill people? Is this a compassionate God? Screwy thinking from the WTS I believe.

as much as i dislike to agree with the WTS i must say that this explanation is feesable in australia we have short haired kangaroo's up north were it is hot and long haired ones down south in the colder parts of australia...same as koala's they are still from the same family but differ according to the environment................................the lizard family (skinks) are very similar although vary...........

p.s how do you explain the ark's capacity????
