My Mom used to have a cassette tape of an interview she did at an assembly back in the late 70's.
She was a very witty woman, and it is the most entertaining "interview" I have ever heard in an assembly setting.
One anecdote that sticks in my head was, after she had gotten interested in the JWs, attended an assembly in England, while she was filming a vampire movie with David Niven.

So,after she went to the assembly, she was all fired up and zealous, and cornered Niven on the set and wouldn't let him leave until he listened to everything she learned! (She told all this with humor...)
But she started feeling weird about going in service during the day, then "biting people on the neck" at night, and that's when she started changing her on-screen image.
I have to say, I am more impressed with how she behaved as a celebrity witness than some of these other high profile celebs, like Prince or the Gloved One. She saw that it was pretty impossible to keep straddling both worlds, and made a pretty clear decision on what she wanted to do. Agree or disagree if she made the right choice, at least it was clear to observers that she wasn't trying to have it both ways.
