So my Mom calls me at 2:00am to tell me..that the doomsday clock has been moved forward to two minutes before midnight!! I guess she has heard that I have a problem with the JW doom and gloom predictions. But come on Ma, we were asleep. I thought that there might have been an emergency...OK I used to work nights but still, I don't anymore. Oh well...anybody remember the JW fascination with that clock? I don't think they ever really got the point of why that thing was setup to begin with.

I did sleep well after. Thanks for asking. I am too tired working days, sending my daughter off to school early before work, and dealing with the ex wife's JW antics to get too shaken up. I appreciate the site on the clock as I hadn't gotten a chance to dig it up. Funny how it would never occur to her to look any of this up. The clock was THREE minutes to midnight in 1984 during the Cold War. Not that it matters much to JWs. They take what they want from secular sources and ignore the rest. I remember as a kid worrying about that clock. The dubs (and my Mom evidently) would talk about it as proof the end was "at hand". And that is what my Mom was driving at this morning.
