What do JW's believe these days as their savior?

I was thumbing through their bible and noticed in a few sections some have God as their one and only savior and other sections have Jesus as their savior.

What do they teach and preach today? I think that we are saved by Jesus through God.

Since the Bible teaching is so clear about Jesus being the Chief Agent of salvation, they do teach that Christ came to earth as a ransom, sent by his Father.

However in their literature they emphasize Jehovah a lot, and bring in Jesus only when necessary.

In a "balancing" action, Jesus (a perfect man) died to offset the sin of Adam (a perfect man). So, Jesus died for our sins, became the "ransom sacrifice", so that we are entitled to salvation.

However (starting in 1995?) Jesus is not the intermediary betwen God and most JWs. A select group of JWs (the "anointed" 144,000 that are going to Heaven) have Jesus as their intermediary with God, and so can receive salvation from God through Christ (God is the center with Christ a doorway).

The majority of JWs only receive salvation based on their hanging around the "anointed", a kind of "grace by association". While they still offer prayers to Jehovah through Jesus, the official doctrine is that most JWs only get salvation by following the teachings of the organization. They only receive salvation, not through Jesus, but from Jehovah through Jesus as passed on through the "anointed".

They teach that salvation is obtained through "association with" their "earthly organization," which is made up of a handful of "anointed" men in Brooklyn. They alone speak for Jehovah and
supposedly have the only line to Jesus, since he especially chose them about 90 years ago. (Of course, the original chosen ones are now dead, but that's beside the point).

The "chosen" overlords use Noah's ark as an example: If you're not associating with the "earthly organization" and doing their bidding, you are outside the ark, essentially dead meat.

Only they are brothers of Christ. The rest of the six-plus million Jehovah's Witnesses must *earn* their salvation through book peddling and attending never ending sales meetings. Whereas
most thoughtful people today flatly reject genocide and slavery, the Witnesses are required to accept both as realities throughout their lives. If you question or complain about your slavery
to the anointed, you will be killed in the upcoming genocide.

Jesus? For the rest of the Witnesses, Jesus is strictly off limits. They bandy his name about and tack it to the end of prayers, but it's forbidden to pray to, or seek any kind of relationship with him.

IMHO, they're a revival of Old Testament priest worship. Yahweh/Jehovah is still the angry, violent, invisible enforcer. The Watchtower books and magazines are no different than Talmudic
commentary and just as contradictory to Bible scripture.

Yet JW's obnoxiously refer to themselves as the only "True Christians!"

Betterdaze, I've never thought the ark from the "new" standpoint of how the society sees thing as your posting reveals. JC mediator ONLY for annointed etc. BUT, If a person believed what they are saying as true then all of us that are NOT annointed are toast because we will NOT be allowed into the Ark. NOBODY went into that ARK but Noah and his Family.

    dogisgood, yes, exactly, you're correct!

But they still insist on that ridiculous ark analogy. What can I tell you, their reasoning defies logic and common sense.

It's been around awhile, it's not so new. I don't have the Library CD to pull up articles that discuss it. Maybe someone here could help.

Are we clean or unclean? Maybe they only need a couple of us for breeding stock...
