Esther, Mordecai and Holocaust

The account of Esther and Mordecai shows how they diverted a holocaust for the Jews.
Several thoughts come to mind when I think of this account.
It doesn’t mention God at all so why was it included in the Jewish collection of Holy books?
Was the Book of Esther inspired?
And is it because the Jewish nation rejected Jesus Christ that they were left without God’s protection and suffered the Holocaust during World War 2?

Here's another question: does anyone realize how old Esther
was when she won the Assyrian beauty pageant? If you piece together
the clues in the Bible, she must have been somewhere between 65 and
    100 years old - likely around 85.

    WILT,

The Greek text of Esther, found in the Septuigant and used now by Catholic does mention God in several verses, though He's not a major role player. The greek text has 107 verses not contained in the Hebrew text used by Jews and Protestants. I think it was included in the canon for several reasons. It served, perhaps, to show that God was still protecting the Chosen People even when not speaking directly to or through a prophet. It was to be a consolation to Israel that even in times of persecution, when God seemed to be silent, that he was still with Israel.

Spiritually speaking the Jews rejection of Jesus had NOTHING to do with the Holocaust in Germany. The Holocaust happened because a nation was led by idiots that hated irrationally. This hate had been fed culturally due to religious and social prejudices. Within Mainstream Christian Doctrine, the Jews are still and always will be God's Chosen people.

The Holocaust shows that God can use bad things to make good things happen. The present day nation of Israel was in many ways built on the ashes of the Holocaust victims.

    Yer,

You don't really beleive this do you?

The Holocaust shows that God can use bad things to make good things happen. The present day nation of Israel was in many ways built on the ashes of the Holocaust victims.

I don't see the logic? Was it a good thing for the innocent victims?
I said that God took away his protection, and thus they were not spared like the Jews in Esther's day.

Yes, I really believe that God can make good things happen even from the worst of circumstances. God did NOT will that the Jews be slaughtered in the Holocaust, Hitler did. There have been many times throughout their history that the Jews have been slaughtered both before and after the advent of Jesus.

God will be VERY protective of the Jewish people in the Tribulation, when the nation will be miracuosly protected from the forces of the Anti-Christ. Until then, while the Jews are still and always God's chosen people, they suffer them whims of the people that hate them, Only knowing that they as a people will survive. The establishment of eretz Israel is part of that survival.

I don't pretend to understand God's logic either, I just know he's a LOT smarter than you our I, and I trust Him.

    Yer,
    I feel this way too:

I don't pretend to understand God's logic either, I just know he's a LOT smarter than you our I, and I trust Him.

I feel God would not at this point in time of our existance find it best to explain IN DETAIL, what are the reasons for what he is doing.
    That's where faith is necesarry.

    Also the question of:
What has he been doing, for an Eternity in the past is something that we will never know in it's complete details.
He is answerable to no one, he is the potter and we are his vessels that can not say to him "Why did you make me this way".
We can not bring God to court or have him arrested or call him to account for any thing.
He does as his will pleases there is NO ONE that can check his hand.
His inspired Apostle John says, HE is LOVE.
I don't feel I know all the ways of love, but I will ponder his ways and maybe I will get more insight into love.

    Thanks for your post Yerusalyim.
