    Ecclesiastes 1:18 (Contemporary English Version)

    The more you know,

    the more you hurt;

    the more you understand,

    the more you suffer.

    So does this mean "ignorance is bliss?"

    Nahhhh, it doesn't mean ignorance is bliss! It's a warning! It doesn't say you have to *keep* hurting and/or suffering; it let's you know that with knowledge and understanding comes the need to find a way to make the hurting/suffering lessen or stop. Forewarned is forearmed...

    The best part about this video is the realization that we're all "even" when it comes to the future. If we choose to apply ourselves to learning we can improve our quality of life. Past "lost chances" don't matter, what matters are the choices we make here on out. Great video!

    It happens all the time ! Many people think this way but the words may have another meaning !

    More we know it can cause many problems as we will be facing so more and more opponents to what we know from the Bible and they can cause a lot of sufferings to us who hold the Truth in high esteem.The Truth can bring immeasurable joy and peace to those that founded it.

    I feel the more knowledge you know, the better it is for you to understand things, and can work them out.

    so you don't have to suffer.

    I agree with Barbie Doll.

    A saying that I always liked is: Pain is necessary, suffering is optional.

    Ecclesiastes 1:18

    With a lot of wisdom comes a lot of heartache. The greater your knowledge, the greater your pain.

    Sums it up, rather well.

    In Daniel 12:4 the phrase "running to and fro" refers to people studying the book of Daniel.

    The NT writers believed they were living in the "last days". Even Jesus referred the book of Daniel to his own hearers living in his own time.
