Until 15 minutes ago, I never knew this city existed [ I know, stupid Yank that I am]. I am wowed by the beautiful appearance of this place.
Anyone have 'on the ground' experience here?

Yes Me!
But It's a fair while back - 1987 (yikes didn't realise it was that far back!)
I holidayed further south in then Yugoslavia down in now independent Montenegro.
But I stayed overnight on a sight seeing trip in Dubrovnik. It's great.
However this was pre civil war.
I'd love to go back - my two trips to Yugaslavia have great memories.
Thanx Pub.
It looks like a gorgeous place, though I doubt on my income I will ever get to do it. May I live vicariously through your experience?
Jeff
LOL feel free to live it through my experience . . .
I have the same problem with the US - can't see me ever getting there.
And I've got an invitation from Sweetpea who's moving out to LA too, but I'm afraid it's a bit of a dream at the mo!
Check this out too!
I've stood on that bridge . . .
