Did you/do you skip the meeting on Super Bowl Sunday?

So tomorrow I hear there is some sort of big game on the TV.....rumors....can't trust 'em...

HOW MANY OF YOU SKIPPED (or attended a different) SUNDAY MEETING TO CATCH THE GAME?

ESPECIALLY if you had/have late afternoon/evening meeting (or any meeting depending on where in the world you are that would interfere with watching the game), Ithink my old congo has an afternoon meeting now on Sunday...dunno for certain, I don't go anymore.

I would be interested in hearing reports for those faders still stuck going to the meeting tomorrow morning if there was an inflated attendance with those who have later meetings playing hooky from their meeting (ie, more than one congo in building, or nearby congos with later meetings) and attending yours...

Heck yeah....but when I was in school....I tried to skip meeting to watch Happy Days.....everybody in school was so into fonzie, and talking about the show....it seemed every hit show was on Thursday night!!!! So wish I could go back..............oompa

When we had afternoon meetings I never went, usually had a party to go to.

When we had morning meetings, there was usually an abundance of VISITORS.......

Before about 1997, no. After, if I didn't feel like going to the boasting session, I didn't go. It wouldn't matter what's on TV--I would rather watch the political debates than go to the Kingdumb Hell.

The game always started at 5pm in our time zone, and who wants to watch 4 and a half hours of pre-game show?

So no, I always went to the meeting first.

I'm still bitter about this!! Welcome Back Kotter, and Happy Days. I'm sure I got more headaches on Thursday nights than any other. Hehe I even set up an old tape recorder in front of the TV a couple of times before I left the house!

I will definately be skipping the meeting on Sunday in favor of the Super Bowl. Then again, I haven't been to a meeting in 25 yrs.

I was never that much of a football fan. In addition, I don't recall having a meeting that conflicted with the superbowl.

i knew brothers who would rush to get the meeting done early to they can drive home like mad men just to watch the game. when ever i made a comment they would cut me off! just they can get it done.ha! i'm still gonna go but i just gotta keep my trap shut lol.
