Matthew 24:14 (New American Standard Bible)

14 "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

I'm sure everyone of us preached the ''good news'' when we were faithful to the WTS. We were taught that our preaching would help Jesus and his angels know who were the sheep or the goats. This work would be done by the Witnesses only and then the end would come.

How does the WTS answer these questions:

What exact words do the Witnesses use that would help Jesus know who are the sheep or goats?

Is the refusal of not excepting the literature enough to judge?

Can Jesus really judge someone just by someone knocking on your door or leaving literature behind?

Hi. I just posted a topic by the same title yesterday.

It includes a link which shows some of the last uncivilized tribes on the planet.

Angels do the separating work, not humans. I can't find reference to any scripture that says humans have any part in pre-judging or separation. There is that one about binding or loosing on earth and heaven - but I think that gift was wholly owned by the remaining apostles and founders of the church of Christ. Even tho' I've heard plenty of stories about 'shaking the dust off our sandals' when spurned at the door(no doubt by Christians who didn't fall for this cultish 'other gospel').

    The Parable of the Weeds

24 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

27 "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'

28 " 'An enemy did this,' he replied.
"The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'

29 " 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' "....

36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field."

37 He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

40 "As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. NIV

Truthfully, Jesus doesn't NEED help - he knows the true intent of our hearts! Jesus actually tells 'his servants' NOT to help because he and his angels have it covered. So what makes anyone ASSume they have the right to ASSume grand positions and titles for themselves? hhmmmm... Church Lady asks: Could it be sa-TAN ?

So my responses to your questions are:

    1. There are no words or proof for, but much proof against such self-elevation amongst God's children.

    2. No

    3. No, that's not how it works, using the Bible as reference over the WT spin.

See, I can read AND comprehend! (sometimes, lol)

Can a person be condemned by God just because they turned away J w's at the door? Certainly ! according to the J W teaching...I have no doubt said so during all those misspent years delivering Service Meeting items on a Thursday night.(Not sure that I really believed that at heart though)

**. If a person knows that he can accomplish nothing lasting without Jehovah’s help but does not act accordingly, this is a sin. But James’ words can also apply to sins of omission. In Jesus’ parable of the sheep and the goats, for instance, the goats are condemned, not for bad acts, but for not helping Christ’s brothers.—Matthew 25:41-46.

BasisforJudgment: The preaching of the good news also serves as a basis for judgment. The apostle Paul stated that Christ Jesus will bring vengeance upon "those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus." (2 Thess. 1:8, 9) People will be judged by their response to the good news. What a serious responsibility this places upon God’s servants! In order to avoid bloodguilt, we must not hold back from making known the lifesaving Kingdom message.

Yes - first the good news, then the bad news.

-Anyway, if memory serves me, there was New Light ™ in 1995, that Jehovah (or was it Jesus?) will do the separating of the sheep and goats at the end, not the Witnesses.

    good morning...

I just wanted to note that angels are looking for the mark of God on folks(blood of the Lamb)...and making announcements and other important stuff...seems folks seperate themselves by owning the mark. In Ezekiel 9:4-6 the ones with the mark were spared judgement(sanctified).
