Yes, you do. They were the family of hard working Ma and Pa with 3 or 4 well scrubbed, decently dressed kids who never missed a meeting. They arrived in a well used van. The back was either full of mops, brooms, vacuums, window washing equipment or rakes, shovels and lawnmowers.
They were the nicest people you could ever want to know and they would give you the proverbial shirt off their back. The "Snodgrass" family I remember were good, simple people. Brother and Sister Snodgrass were very fair, red haired and robust. They both had a line around their foreheads, bright pink below, white up to the hairline from wearing straw hats out in the sun all day. We recommended Bro. Snod. as an elder and when he was appointed he cried with humble appreciation.
I still think about him and his wife. Their kids had all kinds of serious problems as they grew up, the daughter came out as a butch lesbian and was arrested for embezzling her employer. One of the sons went crazy into the drug scene. I left before all that happened so I have lost touch. But I suspect that the parents are still devout and faithful to the New York corporation . If they are content with their life I'm happy for them. I think there are a lot of good people in the JW cult that should probably just stay there. Every body has to be somewhere.
Does this resonate with anyone else?
