    Hello all,
I have a good friend who is a JW as some of you might recall. I am a born again Christian, so faith wise we are at opposite ends of the spectrum. However, I believe God has opened a door with him and our opposing beliefs do not affect our friendship.

I made the acquaintance of another JW who worked part time for my friend and I found him to be a nice guy and we got on well. It came a shock today to find out that this acquaintance died last night being only slightly older than my almost youthful self (thirty something). It was obviously more of a shock for my friend who was with him in the meeting at the Kingdom Hall just before.

I have posted on here before about Ecclesiastes 9:5 and I believe the Watch Tower teaching on this verse is a total falsehood and contrary to the truth in any Bible (the NWT does not qualify as a real bible). I though about this first hand account from the grave and the poor soul who had just died.

I believe the Bible when it says that God is all powerful, full of love and compassion but just and true. Also that He loves to hear the prayer's of His children and answer them. I believe that Jesus raises people from the dead just as He did in the accounts in the Bible and that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is still active and working now. I was filled with compassion for this departed soul and was praying for God to have mercy on him and bring him back from the grave and let him know that Jesus is THE way, THE truth, THE life. My wife joined me in prayer and God showed us some things to pray in to. We are certainly not in the habit of praying for the dead, in fact this is the first time ever! But I rest assured that we am far from being alone in our belief's and even till today, there are numerous accounts of people coming back to life in the name of Jesus. I had a quick look found this.

Skeptics will not doubt have some fun but quite seriously the man looked perfectly dead to me and if he wasn't the 'CPR' would have surely killed him?!

So anyone with faith please join me in prayer.

    Love in Christ,
    Stephen

Hello Stephen. I was wondering what was the cause of death? Was it natural causes? I had a friend from some time ago who perished at 37. It was a heart attack. I believe it was from excessive living.

Anyway it is sad to hear of the loss of someone at that age. Your friend, if you believe, is now on his journey to a happier place.

    Sorry for your loss.
