Here's the deal. My wife has a part in the upcoming 2 day CA. Now, I haven't been there in close to 10 years so my memory is a little sketchy.

From my memory, the only parts a sister would have would be a talk in the ministry school section or an experience. Now I fairly sure she doesn't have a ministry school part, because she has had to go early to several meetings for a rehearsal. So that leaves an experience. So it makes me wonder if that's it, what kind of experience will it be. Maybe something about a sister with an unbelieving husband? I have no official label so I really kind of doubt that is what it is, but wouldn't that be a kick if it was. If I knew for sure it was that, wouldn't it be a kick if I got a Groucho Marx glasses, nose and mustache disguise and slip in and sit in the back of the hall just to see what is being said about me. Hey Jourles, can I borrow yours?

Of course I wouldn't do that, but can anyone tell me what they think the part she has might be?

It could also be a demonstration.

But, boy... I don't think I'd like it if someone I was close to got up in front of 2000 people and gave the experience of how much they have to endure because of me being in their life. It would truly irk me.

Whatever it is sneak some sort of recording device in and tape it...

Did you ask her what the part is?

I might be tempted to ask. Maybe even ask the date and time of the performance so I could go and show my support.

Maybe she's in an unrealistic skit.

One time I was part of such a skit on the assembly. Two of us guys were going to go get some booze on the way to a JW party, and there were going to be worldly people at the party.

The way the skit was written, we talked ourselves out of going at all.

Maybe she'll put on a strap-on and give the Sunday talk.

I am going to ask her. There is no way I can show support however. Even the thought of spending an entire day there is not something I can handle.

I just didn't remember there being demonstrations at a CA, the DC yes, but not a CA. Of course my memory could be wrong.

Strap on? Hmmmm. Would a strap on work in place of a head covering?

    Me too.

Maybe you could just threaten to attend....you know, "gee haven't been in awhile think that I would like to see what has changed"...see if you get a reaction.

Huh, she hasn't told you? Not even a 'I got the part, I got the part!!' squeal? If you asked her what it's about exactly, that would be good--she'd have to rewrite it if it's too negative about you. If it's not, or if she hides the fact that it is (a.k.a. lies) tell her you'd like to be there to hear her speak, you know, to be supportive; see if she shitzels herself.
