  Saudi religious police plan to behead a woman accused of being a witch. Human Rights Watch has asked the countries King to intervene over "absurd charges that have no basis in law." Fawza Falih was arrested and interrogated in the town of Quraiyat two years ago and sentenced to death. The Judges who convicted her relied on her forced confession and statements from witnesses who claimed she "bewitched" them. One man claimed to be impotent after she cast a spell on him. Ms Falih retracted her confession in court, saying it was extracted under duress and she did not understand the document since she is illiterate.

  See! some religions are worse then Witnesses.....although Apostates are considered "Witches" who are given a spiritual death.

  Someone put this up a couple of days ago the whole article. It is quite interesting. Kinda makes you sick how people can drum up accusations with no actual proof.

  The life of people in these other countries, I really feel for them. I'm grateful to live in a country that I do.

  Don't ANYBODY argue that this is no different from the witch hysteria in Europe 600 years ago. It is entirely different.

  In the middle ages everybody was ignorant and groping in the dark to understand the world around us.

  The only reason things like this can happen in the 21st century is because the government and religious leaders DELIBERATELY keep the people ignorant, and deprive them of the means of informing and educating themselves; even keeping them in terror of doing so.

  So NO they are not worse than the Gibbering Buddy in Crooklyn. This is what they do also. And they would kill people who disagree with them if they could.
