I noticed that in the "What Does The Bible Teach" book, there is a picture that seems to reinforce negative stereotypes about certain races.
Look at the picture closely.
The black girl is stealing, the Latino men are portrayed as gangsters and only the white guy is having a smoke and a drink.
I showed this picture to an elder and asked whether or not he thought this picture was racist and he agreed that it was.
What are your thoughts?
As an afterthought, anyone can steal/smoke/drink and become a gangster, but I wonder whether the artist here painted his own prejudices or was given instructions?
Something to wonder about among the loving brotherhood.

I feel that the Bible Teach picture reinforces negative perceptions of other races. Why isn't the white man stealing or holding a knife?
Prejudice isn't just about color either, it can be about money and how much you have of it.
There are no poor pioneers in my congregation - they all drive SUVs and own a house, yet in some rural congregations, pioneers are barely making ends meet.
It's a comfortable existence for many when they don't need to supplement their day job (pioneering) with real work.
I think there is often more than a grain of truth in stereotypes but it can become embellished and exaggerated over time.
From watching American TV and music videos I can see why people automatically link certain races to certain behaviour.
We don't have anything like the racial conflict you do in the U.S. so your sensitivity seems a little bewildering to those of us looking in.
And don't forget; the WTBTS are on record as having a patronising view of the Black Man!
