she rang me up and said she had just been lied to by the jws ! (gosh surely not ) when they knocked on her door she answered and said if you are jehovahs witnesses then i dont want to be one as you dont allow members to have blood transfusions , they said "that is all nonsence" utter nonsence" she said "so its not true about the girl that died after giving birth to twins then?" one said "no its not , that was medical negligance , that was " she said anyway ive heard alot of stories about jws (she knows that my child was abused by an ex min servant , that had abused kids in the cong years earlier but did not get reported to the police ) they said "yes and i bet you have heard them from people that are not witnesses " typical reply because its bound to be all lies if its come from someone not a witness !!!!! i told her that it was probably a carefull choice of words really , as i saw a guy on the television from bethel saying that jws could have a tranfusion if they wanted one . (but would not be drawed into what would happen if they did have one )

Why do criminals feel the need to dress up in their Sunday best when they are in court? It's easier to fool people and confuse them as they stand their saying 'No! It's Not True!'

My parents are fanatical witnesses and do you know what.....I've never heard non JWs lie how they do and think nothing of it! You can see they actually believe the lies they are saying even when they know they are lying! How's that for screwed up minds?

two from the local congregation inviting me to the CO talk on Sunday. I brought up both the pedophilia issue and

the UN issue. Both elders had not heard of either!! They had heard about the 60 Minutes show regarding Barbara

Anderson's accusations, but other than that...NOTHING!! Amazing how deep in the sand they bury their heads.

They told me that Barbara Anderson was an apostate, never worked at Bethel, and was making it all up out of

bitterness for being disfellowshipped and was sure there was a viable explanation for the UN thing.

You do know they looked you right in the eye and LIED to you, right? Had the same thing happen to me and it's the standard response.

The letter from headquarters that was sent to all congregation elders, detailing how to answer questions about those issues, was posted on this board a couple years ago. Instructions were to have the questioner send a letter to Bethel and they'd answer. With more LIES, of course. Haven't you read Brant Jones' series of letters he'd sent and received form them about the UN? They are such LIARS! They've been told to use 'Theocratic warfare' ie:LYING when confronted about these things, and to feign ignorance. Well, at least they have the ignorant part down.

That is certainly the word that is going around in the U K . The anecdote that came to us was that the Hospital should have used a cell saver but for some reason were unwilling or unable to do so.

So it is all "their fault"- despite the fact that the patient chose to refuse the treatment on offer that would very likely have saved her life

The lies given are very careful plays on words . I guess they are technically correct to say that they cannot prevent a person taking blood , but they choose not to explain that they terminate the membership of that one and will order all his associates and family to shun him - treat him as a dead man...Hobson's choice is no choice at all. To quote a WT, a deliberately misleading statement is a lie.
