Cease & Desist letter

I have given this out many times but darn if I didn't save it somewhere so I have to keep retyping it, so here it is. I have sent the letter to the local kh & NY and told my jw to keep them away and still the persist. The wt considers the letter good for only one year. Many kh's do not have mailboxes so if you attempt to sent locally it will be returned to you.

NOTICE TO 'CEASE AND DESIST' ALL VISITS

Dear Sirs,

Please notify all members of your congregation that consent, implied or otherwise, to visit my property at the address stated above for any purpose relating

to the work of Jehovah's Witnesses or the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society has been revoked.

I will consider any future visits to be an act of willful trespass and may prosecute to the full extent of the law, civil or criminal.

You must not visit on the pretense of 'updating records'. Check the electoral roll for up to date ownership information.

Notice has also been served to my local congregation located in the area of ________________________________________________________.

I shall hold you both severally and jointly liable for any infratction of this notice to 'cease and desist'.

You have been warned!

I never thought of that. They don't have to keep updating their records. Does anybody know if this kind of letter can be legally enforced?

You could also post a NO VISITS FROM JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES sign on your door. That's as good as a C&D letter and if they ignore the sign, you can call the police and have them charged with trespassing and harassment.

They need the update so they can continually harass you into joining the cult. You will not be left alone until you join, and then you are required to do the actual work. And they usually "forget" about that list. Of course, that is why Kingdumb Hells lack mailboxes (the lead hounder takes any mail for the congregation). That way, you cannot send the letters to cease and desist (or disassociation) to the Kingdumb Hells. Any cease and desist letters sent to headquarters will simply be thrown in the trash, unread.

The purpose of a Cease and Desist is basically setting boundries with them. I would make sure the letter was Certified for my records. Put up the sign as well. Then document their visits and have a copy of the letter to anyone who comes to the door( date the letter you hand to them....date and time) Then you have a legal case to sue for repeated tresspassing and harassment.

I wish they'd visit my house, but the damn guards at the gate won't let them in. I used to enjoy challenging them to think for themselves. Oh well, no Mormons either. Guards make the neighborhood rather boring.
