Dear Lovers of Suspense and Plot Twists,

I only yesterday discovered my old fave - "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" - on nbc.com. I viewed an episode with Brian Keith called "The Night Owl," where blackmail, mayhem and murder bring a troubled family closer together.

I'm looking for "Sacrificial Lamb," starring Barbara Bel Geddes. She murders her husband and conceals the weapon in a most clever way ... I saw it years ago; have you?

My mother loved Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I was a kid, but I remember the episode you're talking about where

the wife kills her husband with a leg of lamb, then freezes it. When the police come by to investigate, she invites them to

stay for dinner. And guess what she serves up? Did I remember it correctly?

I remember reading that story in my 10th grade lit class entitled "lamb to the slaughter".

Thank you, my friends, for the replies ...

I guess we're "tuned" in to the same station. When I watched Hitch I had my own RCA - a giant box with channels 2 through 13 and an on/off/volume knob. My folks got the new TV with a tuning-fork remote - state of the art!

No the leg of lamb was frozen so it was hard enough to bust the husbands skull in with. So after she bust him with it she puts in in the oven and goes to the market all the while telling herself that her husband is alive. When she gets home she is surprised to find her hubbie dead! Then she calls the cops and when they get there she says oh the wasted meat and they eat the murder weapon!

Thanks for helping me get the title correct, LRG - "Lamb to the Slaughter"; Alfred Hitchcock Presents, 1958.

    Thanks, mkr, for the clarification.

Ninjaramalamadingdong: Double chocolate cannot possibly be good for your health. How about a nice, light, frozen yogurt? Does your wife know about you?

    Cokey
