I would write about the illegal parrot smuggling trade. In Central and South America, men climb trees, pull the newborn parrot chicks from their nests, stuff them into cages where they can hardly breathe, and smuggle them without food or water into the U.S. About 90% die before they reach the U.S.
I'm no fan of PETA's tactics, but the cruelty they oppose toward animals is beyond belief. Animals are treated in what is called an "inhumane" way, but the sad fact is that the agony man causes to animals is all too human. -
