Okay, so there's only one who's gonna be on board -- me -- that I know of.

There will be 14 of us, mostly Judy's family. I'm the only ex-JW. But it would be great just in case one of more of you have already booked this same cruise. We can share our war stories during a few lunches together, great atmosphere, spectacular view, and free.

Just in case -- though I realize it'll be unlikely -- it's aboard Voyager of the Seas departing Galveston on Saturday, March 23 at 1 pm. We'll be spending the night of the 22nd at the La Quinta Inn, 1402 SEAWALL BLVD. A bit pricey but it is during Spring Break week, although the parking will be free for the entire week we're on the ship.

PM me if you think you'll be on this same cruise.

    I wish I was going...

We should all plan something together... Let's get our JW mates involved in this!!! (We can tell our JW mates after the ship has taken off... lol)

Thanks, Stilla. Yes, we consider ourselves very fortunate.

No, Uwish, this'll be my second. I'm still a newbie, however, as the last was only a year ago.

It's may not be my favorite way to vacation -- I rarely go more than a week without playing a few rounds of golf -- but this is actually like being in a huge city which is full of amenities. A wide walking track for getting our 3 mile daily walk. Plenty of pools for swimming and wading, massive decks for sunning (or shading and napping) in comfortable lounges. I played, and enjoyed, shuffleboard for my first time ever. There's ping pong. For picture taking, there's always interesting situations to try and capture.

I understand this ship is nearly twice the size as the last one we were on. We'll try to remember our walkie-talkies this time so we can all keep in touch. We leave our cell phones turned off once we leave the U.S. -- too expensive. I won't be getting on JWD -- too expensive.

I even enjoyed one of the art auctions so I could study those folks willing to part with sometimes thousands of dollars for some precious piece.

The night life is like Vegas though I skip the casinos. Nothing religious but whatever we have would be too painful to part with that way. The karaoke is a blast but then one of our party will be participating each night and we'll continue to cheer her on. After that there's always some world class entertainment in the huge theater.

The at-port excursions I could do without but I'll go along. Going to shore doesn't cost but if you want to do anything special that probably will cost.

What kills me is that the cost of getting to the port city and doing the logistical pre night stay can be as high as 50% of the of the cost of the cruise fare.
