Interesting, but it is now an academic JOKE:
Quote from this reference:
The story of the Israelites, and their symbolic journey out of Egypt in search of the "promised land," is a metaphor for the process by which consciousness develops towards the final state. 14 The New Testament explores the same process from a more emotional perspective. It relates symbolically the nature of the inner struggle that the individual on the path toward enlightenment will undergo.15 Qabalistically, The Bible may be regarded as a literary vehicle that allows the dissemination of esoteric teachings to the few, whilst maintaining an outer appearance of relative mundanity to the many.
We can now date by archaeology the specific year of Akhenaten to 1386 BCE by the astronomical text called the KTU 1.78. Per Manetho, the Exodus occurs in his first year, with his father, Amenhotep III dying in the Red Sea. Per the Bible, the king who ruled immediately after the Exodus would begin to worship YHWH, and thus become a monotheist and build a specific altar to YHWH in the "middle" of Egypt near it's "boundary." If a country is divided into two equal halves, then the middle of the county and the boundary between the two parts makes sense. This is where Akhenaten built Amarna. Akhenaten was consider the "heretic king" because he believed in monotheism and some of his writings are compared to those of David in the Psalms!!! Akhenaten became a prophet of his god, "Aten." Of course, since the Bible claims its prophets are inspired by holy spirit, one would think if Akhenaten was worshipping Yahweh and was also inspired by him that the inspirations would be similar. Well, they are! So similar some refuse to think writings by David is unrelated to Akhenaten.
So at this point, it's hard to sell as "symbolic" Exodus when we have direct evidence of a literal one. This works in the academic vacuum and propaganda that the Exodus never happened and there is no record of it. Well now we do have "evidence" of it that matches the Bible and the precise CHRONOLOGY.
That is, the KTU 1.78 dated to year 12 of Akhenaten, which is where David Rohl places it for his chronology, based upon the conventional dating of that eclipse event in 1375 BCE, dates the 1st of Akhenaten to 1386 BCE. So if the eclipse reference is correct, then 1386 BCE would be are best academic chance at an "absolute date" for the Exodus!!! Funny to me, when you correctly date the 1st of Cyrus to 455 BCE, the Exodus occurs 19 jubilees earlier (931 years) in 1386 BCE. The very same year! Or if you count back from 871 BCE, the RC14 dated event for Shishak's invasion, year 39 of Solomon, you get the 4th of Solomon occurring in 906BCE, which means the Exodus occurs 480 years earlier in 1386 BCE!
Now while many may choose to discount this, it still is quite encouraging for those who want to follow the strict Biblical timeline and it certainly makes the gestures toward a "psychic" basis for the Bible simply more Satanic propaganda, rather than true, accurate history that has confirmation in archaeology, astronomy, ancient historical sources, etc.
So this is just another anti-Biblical "wave" spewed out by Satan for those who like to buy into psychological explanations for everything. But it doesn't influence those who actually have the research behind them supporting the literality of the Bible. In fact, we just get a good LAUGH at this academic B.S. It's ridiculous. Meant for the uneducated. Nothing more.
But, thanks for posting this: A LAUGH A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY.
