Oh no, not another post on the UN library ticket scandal! I do have a question and forgive me if I missed this on one of the longer threads.
What are the real advantages for NGOs being associated with the UN DPI?
I think Hawkaw knows of other NGOs and was able to obtain some forms that the UN was unwilling to provide. I wonder if Hawkaw has asked as to what NGOs see as the real benefit. If the WTS is claiming they needed a library ticket, what are some of the real side advantages?
I know that going to a governement agency and simply stating that you are a UN associate will carry some weight. Claiming that you are an associate just like these other noble organizations (Boy Scouts, Human Rights orgs, etc) will help by having some of their glitter rub off on you. But what else? What are the real advantages and what has the WTS given up by resigning?
