How to crack the code of creation

I was going say how to find the hidden God but maybe the hidden code of the first cause is a better term to describe the initial events that have lead mankind to where we are now.I would suggest that the Bible or religion is not the way forward if we want to find how and why it all began in the first place.

Scientific research is the only way to unlock the secrets of the unknown whether it be medical ,space or whatever.Think about the Enigma machine which was used to break the German coded messages during WW2 , it was not invented by prayer it was brought into being by a strong desire together with human ingenuity of trial and error.

Lets thank all those people who have gone into research and discovered facts instead of figments. Imagine where we would be now if all those people throughout the last century had taken the advice of the Jdubs and stayed away from further education.

    Just a thought.

Good point, Edmond. I think this, as well. Theology cannot give definitive answers to the ever increasing difficult questions.

Science will do that. The truly visionary scientists, however, are the ones that will ask the theological/spiritual questions and put a

scientific spin on the research and use that great human ingenuity you spoke about to achieve the "impossible". A New Day is

coming and I believe we will eventually discover things we can only imagine (some anyway) and speculate about.

I think Science and Spirituality will eventually converge into something that can be compatible, but will probably have a new

language to demonstrate the parallels between them. Right now, the language and stereotypes of both scientists and spiritual

    seekers get in the way.

Can all truths be expressed in facts? Does the western scientific method have the tools to discern all?

We hit tremendous problems when using the tools of science (maths is a great example) when applied to our relative experience of matter. We can conceptualise a mathematical figure (like infinity) but it cannot describe a bounded non-infinite system correctly. Take Pi - it describes a reality that we can see but can be theoretically calculated to orders of precision using maths that requires more 'bits' of information than the universe is estimated to contain at an atomic level. This suggests that maths is fundamentally incorrect though just like newtonian physics it works on our scale of reality very well.

Sometimes stories (myths) and so forth can convey vast amounts of emotional information that are greater than the sum of their parts. The bible - as a textbook of how to create a physical world - is utterly useless. Depending on which part you derive your inspirations from however, it can be an excellent guide to co-operative society (i.e. love your neighbour.) Since our emotions play a fundamental part of ability to make decisions (so the scientists say!) then we may need to be moved by more than quadratic equations.

I'd like to think that the first tribe drew together around the campfire gelled beyond savage nature by art and stories rather than simply because one of them had cracked the formula for the correct time required to hard boil an egg but keep the yolk runny.

We may need the tools of science to understand creation but can our tools tell us what to create thereafter?

OOOOOO gotta stop posting now my wife is having contractions.......
