For years, the Catholic church was the focus of the vitriol of the Watchtower Society. But it is amazing how much the organization has become like the Catholic church in certain aspects.
In the Bonham, Texas trial the Society's lawyers argued that the Society was a "hierarchy."
In the sexual abuse cases, they argued for "clergy privilege of confidentiality."
One of the new corporations formed is "The Religious Order of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Can anyone add to this list?
I suspect the reason that the Watchtower looks so much like the Catholic church is that they cribbed the organization notes.
They were not very original in their thinking and merely slapped new labels on an old structure. I have found organization charts from both of them and a side by side comparison looks mighty fishy.
