This Generation

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I just happened to see the discussion in the latest Watchtower study magazine. It is the last article in the magazine and takes up the discussion of "this generation". I know Blondie will be going over this entire article, but, could not contain myself after reading this. It appears to conincide with the change of the FDS, open ending "the END".

It also appears to me that they are not using the term "new light" as quickly as before for some reason, has anyone else noticed this.

It is very significant how JWs and exJWs see this as a carrot they cannot take their eyes off!

As if watching even long after leaving , for some, because it is so embeded in their minds that something is afoot and imminent!

I am in a place now where I drop on a thread like this out of boredom because the idea of it is so devoid of reason!

If Armageddon came right now then so what? Was god expecting me to be intelligent enough to filter out all the garbage from whatever isn't?

Does that mean I have a lack of faith in the reasoning mind I was given?

Was I supposed to knock on a few of the billions of doors that haven't been knocked on or even a few trees in some jungle someplace?

The above is why I give up on the WTBTS and the BIBLE! It expectes the unexpected and insists on understanding the impossible in the form of a self pretense that this 'light' is gonna shine for you.

In actual fact you eventually realise there was no electric supply!

I decided to find my own way in the dark and no matter how unhappy I still am its better than giving power to others to decide when I should be unhappy!

I can now choose that for myself as a first stepin my own life!

"New light" might be too strong a term to make Dubs think of "old light" as something wrong or changed.

What I notice is that it is just slipping by without any fanfare. They did that in 1995 and the change
gained some momentum among the "deep students" of WT doctrine, but many didn't know there was
a change for years (or ever). I pointed it out to some dubs who read their magazines and they didn't
know a thing, which meant they read it in a semi-hypnotic state or skipped past it.

I think the WTS has to play down this huge change because it flips from the GENERATION clearly being
"wicked" anytime Jesus mentioned it (according to the previous mags) to the GENERATION being
anointed. It's total rubbish and they want to slide it on through there and just keep selling books to the
    dubs.
