    I would like to know:

    1) How many of the GB's (and other higher-ups in the org) children, grandchildren, great-children went to college, which universities they attended, and what were their majors and other studies?

    2) How many of the GBs and/or their children and grandchildren (some are old enough to have grown grandchildren, I'm sure) are major stockholders or serve

on the board of directors for corporations that have some association with the JWs.

    3) How many of the GBs and/or members of their families own companies that service the needs of the Watchtower Society?

    4) Family names other than last names of GB members....sisters, brothers-in-law, wife's maiden name, etc.

    5) Properties, both domestic and foreign, owned by GB's close family members.

I doubt I will get any answers to these wonderings here at JWD, but do you ever wonder about this, too?

Yes - I know a lot of them study legal, so they can take down "apostate sites" on charges of copyright infrigement and kill their members by refusing them medical treatment.

Schroeder has a son Judah Ben Schroeder who is pursuing a legal degree.

Most of the GB don't or didn't have children.

If any have property, they probably acquired it before coming to Bethel, unless they inherited it from a family member or were donated it by some jw looking to have influence.

I've wondered some of the same kinds of things.

There definitely seems to be an "in-group" within the Borg hierarchy that has tentacles that extend beyond the physical boundaries of Bethel.

My ex-wife's family were kind of peripherially connected to some of the more influential people in the Borg. It just always seemed like there was a group at the core around whom everything revolved. Additionally, I don't care who you are, if you have financial control over hundreds of millions of dollars, you're view of the world is altered.

When I was a kid, I remember seeing Knorr and some of the other GB arriving at a DCs in limos. When I asked an elder and his wife why they didn't show some humility and drive a VW like many pioneers did, I was told that they were the future kings who would rule the earth and that they deserved to be treated like royalty.

What a load of shit!!! But, that is what I mean about the inner circle living the high life at the expense of the R&F.

    Cheers to all,

    Alex

Interesting questions, but many of them don't have kids in the first place.

I'm sure very little of the GB have children. I think they are married but that's as far as their marriage went. All are hard-core career JWs.

As far as personal or financial questions, I think you'll have to be in Bethel, personally know them, and have dealings with them to know that kind of stuff either as inimate conversation or part of their written background which I'm sure is in files somewhere in the bowels of the organization. Incidentally, this is why I find those that have left the WTS who were in key positions in administration or leadership in any of the WTS corporations have the most interesting information to share.

I think what the emphasis around WT ethics is asking is whether 2nd 3rd and more generation families have large business interests in WT peoples custom and so make high dollars by virtue of the honest breadline JWs paying all their dues whilst they cream it all in as if 'traditional business' is more respectable than any youngsters pursuing their own carreer!

Would Jesus be turning over their tables on account of them demanding others live on breadline long hours existence whilst they suck in all the luxury the easy money brings home. And it is amazing how the high dollar individuals usually have more influence and things to gossip about just to maintain their prestige and status amongst their regulars often beating down sincere followers who refuse to play into their hands!

It would be interesting to compile info on such financial interests especially considering the massive burdens they impose on youngsters trying to make a break in life. Having any individuals with high income easy lifestyles in positions of authority telling others to live on low means is utter hypocrisy!

It's the only way they can get so many new victimes though - by getting young blood and vitality to go out and hoodwink newbies and so it is an essential trickery to their growth!
