I don't think the Americans will 'see' the caricatures that a native Australian does.
Many NZers think it's a bit 'cringey' but it has some 'rolly' good moments.
The Americanisation of The Office is a disaster, for example. -

It's interesting that they got a (former) SNL impressionist ... wonder if she'll be conciously trying to do an inpression of the original character or would make it her own style.
