I had a PM from someone in reply to the thread I started today. This person has a grand total of zero posts in forum, gives an e-mail address and suggests I e-mail them if I wish to reply since they don't get to check their PM's often.

If I was really mean I would post the e-mail address here.
But I won't, just in case I'm wrong.
It is typical of a phishing expedition. They love forums. I never got any spam until I joined another forum a few years back.

The fact that we have some 60,000 members and only a few hundred that actually post on a regular basis suggests that most simply lurk. There may be extreme fear by some of losing their anonymity -- some, just plain afraid of doing something they've never done before.
