I need your advice. I was told that I had a positive ANA; but they didn't give the titer. So, they did another test; and again, I had a positive ANA. But get this, the doctor said it was a false positive! And she said that labs, normally, don't report an ANA of 1/40 (Then why did they?). The kicker is: The lab, also, reported an scl-70 as positive. They said this type is diagnostic for Scleroderma. Is it possible to have a false-positive ANA and Scl-70 at the same time?
The lab isn't saying it's false positive. The doctor is.
My hands had hard skin and lesions on the palms and between my fingers. The back of my hands, later, developed purple lesions.
This is the biopsy I had done a few months back that the doctor said was "Psoriasis". Oh well!? I dunno?
