I just recently started using an elliptical machine. I love it and hate it at the same time. About 2 minutes after I start, my legs (thighs) start burning and continues for the full 30 minutes. Does the burning ever go away? and is it okay to do everyday? I've been doing 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by 30 on the treadmill every day but because of the burning, should I only do the elliptical every other day?

I do 50 minutes every other day on the elliptical. Inbetween I lift weights.
I dont know why you are having the burning sensation. Are you buring 2000 calories an hour?
Did you just start exercizing?
I think the burning will go away when you get in shape.
As far as lifting weights, I know I have to have a days rest after lifting. What you do when you lift weights is you break the musle down and then your body rebuilds it.
So maybe your tearing your musles down on the eliptical machine and not giving it time to rebuild.
You probably should work out every other day on the same body part. At least that would be a good starting point.
