81 (yes, eighty one) norwegian pop and rock singers/bands want to celebrate the 50 th birthday of their great music idol Prince with a CD-box containing one Prince cover tune from each one of them.
However Prince does not think this is a good idea and he has throu his lawyers stopped the project because it containes "unautorized arrangements"....

Surely this abononation of a birthday wish would haven been the most disgraceful thing he could have let happen.
See? He's just as afraid of the elders as we once were, lol...
Well, maybe not all of us were afraid of the elders, but I was. Especially when my Dad was PO all growing up...
I hated the elders, expecially sitting in front of them at a judicial comitee talking about my sex life. lol.

Prince is pretty uptight about people covering their music. The EELS had a hard time getting one of their covers on a DVD. This probably has nothing to do with the birthday thing.
He knows how to keep that money to himself. I'm not mad at him!
